From babysitter to donut shop employee to tshirt maker, it's been one hecka busy year.
As I look back over my year of slinging donuts at my first "big girl" job, I have to think fondly about those 7 a.m. shifts where I about died and wanted to murder at least twenty people. Those purple frosted donuts were so ugly when I first started, too. Why people let me decorate them and never said a word I will never know.
sweet memories, sweet friendships.
// I R E M E M B E R W H E N //
- I was the first to show up to a 5 a.m. shift and when I found the door unlocked I waltzed in, blissfully unaware I had set off the alarm. I know the police man was CONVINCED I was an ex-convinct out to rob a little donut shop, what with my sleepy eyes and messy pony tail, but he let it slide
- Cold parades on rickety bikes
- When I was an hour late to work due to uncontrollable circumstances and was completely convinced I was fired, right then and there (spoiler alert: I didn't get fired ^_^ )
- When my best friend got a job with me and we were SO productive
- That one military guy who said I was cool and oh would you go out with me sometime? I will never forget the look on his face when I told him I was in high school
- When I was an hour late to work due to uncontrollable circumstances and was completely convinced I was fired, right then and there (spoiler alert: I didn't get fired )
- How when you work with people for such an extended period of time you basically know everything that's going on in their life (because let's be honest- work IS our life)
- That other time when there was ice on my windshield and no ice scraper, and then I dropped my keys in between the seats, and then I was once again convinced I would be fired because I was running fifteen minutes late (I was a wee bit paranoid guys)
- Twinning, yo
- Trying to go to Varsity to study and then talking with the girls working instead
- SO MANY ARTSY PICTURE OPPORTUNITIES LIKE CAN WE JUST APPRECIATE THIS PLEASE
But golly gosh I do love Varsity. It's been so real y'all. I donut know what life would be like without my Varsity homies.
Lots of love from your favorite donut shop gal,
Chloe
