I had a few minutes in between letting my bread rise and putting it in the oven, so I thought I"d hop on and say hello to all you out there and- what was that?
Oh yes.  I'm making bread.  Are you jealous?  Because you should be: It's Mrs. Smith's recipe and OH GOLLY is it good.  But back to the point of this post! :)

I've been reading a lot of things lately, and I wanted to share some of them with you.  Some of these are books I didn't like, and I'll tell you why in the summary below them, and some of them are ones that I absolutely loved!  So here we go.....

Now I really enjoyed this book- as I usually enjoy Jessica Day George's writing.  This was a redo of the Twelve Dancing Princesses, with Little Red Riding Hood incorporated in.  (I'm sure you can guess from the cloak!)  I won't give any secrets away, but what I love is that she makes most of the sisters (all twelve of them) very unique.  They do sometimes tend to blend together and get rather confusing on who's who and and who's married to who, (well there IS twelve of them!!!), but the main characters and the men who are helping them are all very unique.  I think that the guy who- okay, I won't say.  But his name's Oliver, and he's really cool!  One of my favorites.  Definitely. 
Now one of the things I didn't like, and I think I already talked about it a little, but to me it was a little confusing, just the way she wrote it.  Some of the plot twists didn't make sense to me and didn't flow very well.  But that very well may have just been me!!! 
This is actually the third book in a series, the first two being "Princess of the Midnight Ball" and "Princess of Glass".  All three are definite must-reads!




I loved the insights on the ways the enemy tries to trap us, and I know I've fallen for many of them.
The book is based off of the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, which is also super good.



This book is part of an amazing series called the "Once Upon a Time" series.  It's a lot of new takes on the classic fairy tales.  I will warn you though that some of them are very suggestive and not appropriate, so you might want to email me before you check any of them out of the library.
This one, if you haven't guessed it already, is on Rumplestiltskin.  One of the better ones, I think, I found it at Goodwill and was delighted!!  It's set in the real world, with an Irish girl as the main focus.  She's hired as seamstress and ordered to make amazing dresses, even though she's never done the fancy work that the dresses are supposed to have.  So a mysterious friend helps her, turning out gorgeous dresses.  His price?  Her first born child.....
Very good, very clean, and I liked it. 


This one I'm still in the process of reading, though I'm almost finished.  I have to say, not one of my favorites!  The author tends to go on and one about things that later you find out weren't that important for you to know!  The plot itself is very weird, and gets creepy after the first hundred boring pages.  Oh yes, you'll have to plough through it all.  It's supposed to be a classic, so I think you should read it just for the practice of reading harder books like this.  And I know that there's nothing bad in it, many of my friends have read it.  So I'm not sure if I'd recommend it or not!  If you're looking for something creepy then read it.  If not- still read it.  It's not that bad!!
