Berry Smoothie Yumminess

I just love smoothies!  They're super healthy, super yummy, and super fun to experiment with.  I enjoy switching out different fruits, adding some juices to mix it up, and then drinking for breakfast!!!  Here's one of my favorites.  It's really good to do after a workout, because it has the protein powder in it, as well as the optional bananas and kale.  Healthiness that's good to eat?!!  YES!

Berry Good Protein Smoothie
You'll need:
  •  A couple handfuls of kale
  • 1 cup of strawberries (frozen or otherwise)
  • 1 cup of blueberries (frozen or otherwise)
  • Honey
  • Crushed ice
  • A container of yogurt, any flavor you prefer
  • Protein powder
  • Water, just a little bit at a time to make it more liquid-y
  • 1 TBS of orange juice
Mix it all up and there you have it!  Don't stick SUPER closely to this recipe...You may or may not need to add more liquid, or more fruit...Just experiment and enjoy.  
Other combos you can try:

  • Banana/Blueberry
  • Orange/Bluberry/Mango
  • Pineapple/Mango
  • Strawberry/Orange
  • Banana/Strawberry

  1. smoothies are my fav! yea, i don't usually follow smoothie recipes just kinda eye ball it and figure out what ingredients i need. i have also found that other types of juice work too..milk works REALLY well, as well as ice that we are trying to figure out what is wrong with my bros stomach we are entirely taking him of of anything dairy....:( so we are looking for more dairy free recipes. you could just as well use almond milk instead of regular milk for smoothie recipes
