How To Clean Your Ear buds

Monday, May 25, 2015

WE ALL KNOW THE FEELING.  You've been listening to your tunes for a good hour, and it's time to pull your ear buds out.  You slowly turn them over, cringing as you do.  In that moment you see your life flash before your eyes as you gag and bolt from the room-  Okay, so maybe it's not that bad for you, but for me??  My ear buds can be, frankly, NASTY when I pull them out.

I'm sorry, just being honest here!

What's that you say?  Yours don't get dirty???  Well you must have some kind of freaky-squeaky clean ears.  Lucky you.

.......

so maybe it IS just me.

Now I just feel awkward.

Eh, awkward is overrated.  I'm gonna tell you the best way to clean your ear buds anyway.  You'll thank me later.

For this project you will need: rubbing alcohol, a handful of cotton balls, and a pair of ear buds.

Now because I'm a nice person, I won't give you a before-and-after pic for this particular project.  I guess this just means you'll have to find out if it really works for yourself! >:D

Cleaning your ear buds is truly the easiest thing ever.  (1) Grab yowself a cotton ball and squirt some rubbing alcohol on it:

(2) Pick an ear bud....

(3) And just rub!  RUB RUB RUB all over that little white ear piece.  Once you're sure all the gunk is gone, (4) dry it gently with a tissue.

Voila!  Squeaky clean ear buds that leave you EXCITED to listen to music.  I'd recommend doing this weekly, although this also depends on where you keep them and how much you use them.

p.s. the things I do for you guys... Just to get these pictures I squeezed myself between two dusty couches and perched precariously against an even dustier ledge just for the lighting.
SEE??

I hope you feel very loved.

  4. That's dedication to squish yourself between the lands of dust (as I like to call that particular couch area in my house). My earplugs get super dirty, and sometimes I feel ear wax and am extremely grossed out. I'll keep this in mind!

    xoxo Morning

  11. You are definitely a nice person as it is evident from this nice article. I also dislike dirty earbuds or earbuds full of earwax. Though, I clean up my earbuds frequently. This is a common case in most of the cheap earbuds, guys don't go for the cheaper earbuds (https://listfolks.com/best-cheap-earbuds/) as their material is mostly a third quality plastic. For, now I am going to try this method. Cheers.
