5 Things That Would Make Me Follow Your Blog

Sunday, January 04, 2015

2015 arrived with a bang (quite literally if you were near anyone setting off fireworks!) and in honor of our new year that now ends in a 5, I've compiled my top five reasons why I follow the blogs that I do!

1) I personally know you outside of the blogging world. Unfortunately for most of you, this wipes out more then 3/4ths of the blogs on the world-widey-web. FORTUNATELY for you if I've talked with you outside of the comment section of my blog (i.e. Facebook, emailing, etc.) your chances of a blog follow are a lot bigger.

2) Your design is -adorable- unique, and easy to navigate. A no-brainer here; we as human beings crave and appreciate beautiful things, and I can tell when a blog has taken the time to make their site as pretty and professional as possible.

3) You post regularly. Sorry, folks, but a once-a-month blogger, no matter how stellar that monthly post may be, is easy to forget and not a good one to follow. If you don't post frequently it shows me you don't take time for your blog and it's obviously not important to you, which is great for you but hard on little reader me.

4) I find your posts helpful/relevant to me specifically.  I rarely follow a food blogger because that's not the nich my site is in right now.  I'm much more inclined to follow a how-to, life lesson sharing, book review or writing blog. These are the things I personally write about, so it makes sense that I would follow them and encourage them along the rickety road of blogging because I understand their struggles!!!

5) Finally, I follow your blog because it makes me feel something. If you can make me smile, laugh, cry, or a mixture of all three, I will love you forever and share your posts to the sky.

What about you? Why do you follow blogs? And (because I'm curious) why did you follow mine?

    1. Golly y'all are so sweet;) isn't the new design nice? I can't take credit for it, Nicole Rose is superwoman when it comes to blogging designs.
I like exploring too! I also like how you called it "exploring" and not *cough* "stalking". I shall make a mental note of that one.

  7. Yep, I agree with a lot of these! No matter how much I love a blogger, if she only posts once a month or is really sporadic I won't want to follow her.

  10. Hey! I just found your blog through the recommendation of A Daisy Tree. I absolutely love it. Do you want to know what I love about your blog? You have a unique voice and happy style that just makes me feel like we are already friends. Also, you post thoughtful articles about things that matter to me. It is always nice to meet fellow christian girls and writers. Keep up the great work.

  11. I follow your blog because I love the 'design and it's easy to navigate'. Plus you give out free, simple tips that are so helpful. And you write really un-pretentiously (if that is a word and if that makes sense). And I loved reading it.

    Love,
    Saee
