feeling sick

Sick and needing prayer

Monday, April 15, 2013

The weather outside is really matching up with how I'm feeling-or more specifically, what I currently have: a runny nose and eyes, a lethargic personality, (I am NOT alive awake or enthusiastic!), and a throat so sore it hurts to swallow and talk.  Yuck.
So I have a severe cold, and that being the case I haven't gotten any school done, and all day it's been lounging around in my sweats and my new Aeropostale sweatshirt.
Let me let you in on a little secret: Another reason I'm feeling down in the dumps is because I found a super fun looking legs workout that I was REALLY looking forward to trying, and then I was going to blog about it, and get to wear my new black shorts.  But when I woke up at 4 in the morning barely able to swallow I ended up going, "Eehh. So much for that."
But you didn't come to my blog to feel depressed!  Since I haven't really felt like baking (my poor family! My dad was even reduced to eating one of my cookies from the last post, even though he majorly dislikes things with peanut butter in them), and I certainly don't feel like working out...... I believe I shall blog about my amazing mom.

Words can't describe how blessed I am to have her for a mother!  We balance each other out well, because I'm a lot more extraverted and talkative, and she's very good at listening.  But she enjoys talking as well, which gives me an opportunity to be a good listener.  Life without my mom would be unthinkable! She's always there for me in the little things like math, or when I have a random question (I have a lot of those) or when I need advice.  Just about a week ago I was really struggling in my relationship with God, and she pointed me back to trusting in Him.  She encourages, she laughs, she loves me, and I love her so much.  I am blessed with her friendship!!!!  Moms are a blessing-and during our time at the orphanages in Mexico I came to realize that even more.  Don't take your mom for granted.  She is a blessing from God.

Random topic number three: I thought I'd share with you the synopsis for my new story that I'm working on.  Any thoughts are great!

The dreams have returned...... Sky has lived her entire fourteen years knowing she was different.  A missing father....The red tatoo and no knowledge of how or why she has it....
She thought she had gotten used to it all- until she learns something that leaves her confused and unsure.  To save her city, Sky must be brave enough to embark on a journey that will ultimately show her the real meaning of courage.  She thinks she has what it takes.  But will the answer she finds be the ones she's looking for?

Thus ends the randomness of this blog post.  Why else do you think I have a title that says "ramblings" in it?!?  I dearly love to ramble:)

Coughing until the next post,
Chloe
