Christmas

Christmas Tag

It's exactly 25 days until Christmas, and even though my Christmas is going to look different then previous years there are still so many wonderful things to anticipate!
The idea for this tag is that anyone can grab it. Just answer the questions and mention the blogger who you got the tag from! Easy as pumpkin pie.....

1. Over the years, what has been one tradition that has stayed with your family since you can remember? Packing up Christmas shoeboxes for little kids in foreign countries who wouldn't get any special Christmas gifts otherwise.  I can't tell you how fun it is to fill a box full of goodies like crayons, candy, socks, toothpaste, toys, and all those little goodies that we loved when we were little.  Heck, I still love me some crayons and candy!

2. The first thing you think of when you hear the word 'Christmas'? Gotta confess, I think of snow immediately.  And then my second thought is always baby Jesus.

3. Number one favorite Christmas movie, GO: Not a movie, really, but every Christmas we watch "A Little House Christmas", and every year I still experience sad feelings when Laura sells her horse so Ma could have her stove.  A $12 stove, y'all.  Those were the good days!

4. When do you start playing Christmas music in your house? Um, is after Halloween an acceptable answer?

5. What are you doing to celebrate Christmas this year?  We're chilling in Branson at a condo with my sweet little cousins and grandparents, complete with pies and water parks and gift exchanging.

6. Christmas song you put on repeat every day of the month: My mom doesn't think it's technically a Christmas song because it only mentions "Winter Wonderland" like TWICE but I do so love it and even thought about making it my ring tone: Pentatonix's "Winter Wonderland/Be Happy".  I'm currently listening to their album and OH it just came on!!!!  HOLD THE PHONE AND EVERYONE BE QUIET AS I ROCK OUT TO THIS WONDERUFL SONG.

7. Hot cocoa or apple cider?  Ahem.  I like them both, but I have to be in the right mood.  Hot cocoa is so rich that I need to have a serious chocolate craving to want it (although when do I NOT have a chocolate craving??).

8. Favorite part about Christmas?  EVERYTHING!  Remembering Jesus and reading His story, sparkling lights, warm cookies, sweaters, all the wonderful music we only get for two months, snow (that is, if the weather complies), hot drinks, fuzzy socks, movie nights, Christmas trees, and on and on.  Christmas truly is the most magical time of the year.

Now go!
Take the questions below and in jolly Christmas fashion answer them while rocking out to Winter Wonderland
You know you want to.
