My Six Favorite Ab-Strengthening Exercises

Peoples, I'm doing my first actual workout post.   which is scary.  and very unlike me.  because I really really really don't like to work out.   Confession time; a few months ago I thought thighs were your obliques.  You can imagine my confusion when I heard the phrase "gap between your thighs"!!

BUT.  Today is the day, and I come to you with six of my favorite ab exercises!  These are the six I can feel the burn the most on.  I've started doing these three or four time a week and I'm hoping to really strengthen my core.   Each exercise has a short video (none are over a minute long) to go along with it that demonstrates the exercise I've picked.  Enjoy!

1. Leg Lifts.  

If you want to make it harder, raise your left leg off the floor and raise and lower your right leg, never letting either touch the floor.  Switch after 30 seconds.  

2. Russian Twists

The more you twist on these the more you'll feel the burn!

3. Bicycles

4. Heel touches

This one has odd music, I'll grant you.  Sounds more like a movie score then a workout background!

5. Reverse Crunches

6. Flutter Kicks 

And if that wasn't enough, here are four of my fav ab workouts!

  2. I love working out! However, since being diagnosed with lupus I've been both too lazy and too exhausted to do much exercise. I am hoping to kick that since I really do adore fitness. And ab workouts don't take too long;) so thank you for sharing these!!! I'm going to look at this post again when I'm home and not at the library so I can try them. lol.

    And dude bicycle crunches are killer on the abs. gotta love 'em
